Description
As a “Piazza del Duomo UNESCO World Heritage Site", the Tower of Pisa, The Cathedral, The Baptistery, and the cemetery are visited by millions of tourists every year, especially to experience the leaning Tower. They are in the Square of Miracles, which is an area of about 8 hectares in Pisa, Tuscany, Italy. The Pisa Cathedral is a medieval Roman Catholic Cathedral, the first structure built in the Square of Miracles. As for the Tower of Pisa, according to history, it started to lean after the second floor was being constructed, in the year 1178, due to a small foundation built on weak subsoil. It took a couple of centuries to be completed, and many more years attempting to fix its tilt. Engineers said, in 2008, that the tower is stable and not prone to collapse for at least 200 years. I visited this dazzling place and was totally awestruck by all their beauty, as well as by their history!
