My friend DS asked me to make a non-sectarian Holiday Card, using a Southwestern US themed scene, since he lives in Las Vegas, NV, and many of his friends are from the Southwestern area of the US. So, one sunny day, I was hiking in Mesa, AZ, and I experienced the beauty of the Red Mountain and the desert plants! It was breathtaking! I had the feeling that I had to paint that scene, so it would forever be engraved in my memory, and that the blissful feeling would be everlasting! I hope that everyone who sees this image may likewise feel this blissful warm feeling in their hearts...
The painting is acrylic on canvas, 12"x16".
