[Painting and Giclées by artist Aicy Karbstein]
This painting was inspired by the charm of historic Old Town Alexandria, VA, USA, where tourists and residents alike stroll the streets and visit the sites and the restaurants. It is based on an early spring scene, with some people wearing the "Capitals Hockey" team shirts, walking their pets, riding motorcycles, and sailing on the Potomac River. On the foreground, we see the "Ramsay House" Visitors Center on the left, and "Burke and Herbert Bank" on the right.
It is the second in the Old Town Alexandria painting series! The first in the series is "Old Town Alexandria in December", both by the contemporary artist Aicy Karbstein.
In celebration of the 270th birthday of Alexandria, Virginia, USA, we are proud to announce the release for sale a Limited-Edition Giclées, canvas on ultraboard, 18"H x 24"W, from the original acrylic on canvas painting by Aicy Karbstein, 18"x24". Each limited-edition giclée comes with a Certificate of Authenticity hand signed by the Artist and complete with a golden or silver wood frame, ready to hang on your wall!

The flowers are in bloom; the trees are budding, the grass is becoming greener. The squirrels are running everywhere and looking for their acorns…
Yes, we see activities all around! Not only the animals and the plants, but also people are being touched by the magic of spring. Their faces seem to be glowing! There are bicycle riders and runners on the streets. Some of them say that they need to get their body in shape for the swimming season in a few weeks. People are playing baseball, golf, driving their convertibles, and going for Happy Hour more often than before.
With all of it in mind, one may ask “what is this force that is driving humans toward these plethora of activities?” Well, the answer may be as varied as the activities themselves, however, one principal reason may be among them: the search for Love!
… Anyway, enjoy every moment as they come! Feel the “love in the air” at each breath, at each sight, in nature and in your daily life!

Add more flowers in your life!
Whether it’s in form of natural or artificial, flowers add more joy, positivity, and life to your environment.
This is also true for paintings. Starting from the thought, or desire, that I have when an idea for painting arises until its completion, there is this special feeling of a strong connection with nature, its beauty and its mysteries.
Each time I paint flowers, a representation of them or a related abstract, the joy remains and become stronger every moment my gaze turns toward the artwork. It is my belief that you will benefit from these joyful feelings impressed into each piece of art. But you don’t have to take my word for it – just experience it for yourself!

Ahhhh... Autumn leaves! Autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons of the year, besides springtime. When one thinks about Autumn, one may contemplate all the stunning colors that come with it - red, orange, golden-yellow, and all the shades in between!
In the Northern Hemisphere, where it is currently Autumn, the temperature is cooling off and the nights are becoming a bit longer. The air is much fresher than it was in summer. Just about everywhere you look, it seems like you are gazing at a painting! Sometimes it even feels like you ARE inside a painting!
... And when you are not out and about appreciating the colors in nature, you may want to check out the collections at Karbstein Art Gallery, where there are some original artwork representing the Autumn colors. Some art collectors - and people like you and me - have been craving to acquire some paintings representing this beautiful season of the year, to bring in the warmth and beauty of these glorious colors into their homes.
Enjoy every moment, and breathe in the beautiful feelings that Autumn may bring you!
