Leonardtown celebrates the 10th Anniversary of being named an official Arts and Entertainment District with a month of special events for your delight! The many activities include First Friday with the kick off of the Art Walk Contest, a sidewalk art competition, plein air painting event, movie festival screenings, live music followed by a fireworks extravaganza, and much more!

We invite you to visit Leonardtown, Maryland, for our kick off events that include the 2023 Art Walk Contest. Make sure to visit the Town Hall lobby to view the fabulous painting by our local Artist, Aicy Karbstein, and vote for your three favorite artworks. The Town Hall lobby will be open until 8 PM on September 1st for the First Friday event. Regular hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30 pm, located at 22670 Washington Street, Leonardtown, MD.

Everyone who delivers the completed Art Walk ballot to the Arts Council, which is next door to the Town Hall, may win a prize!

The Town of Leonardtown, Maryland, is hosting an exciting fundraising event to support several art projects in Leonardtown. There will be many events from Friday to Sunday, May 6th to 8th, 2022.

May 6th: The beautiful Fenwick Inn has been generously donated as the location for a high-end cocktail party and fundraiser - The "Mad about Leonardtown" Arts and Entertainment Fundraiser - themed around Alice in Wonderland and the Alice in Leonardtown mural located just behind the Fenwick Inn. There will be entertainment and a live art auction. Many renowned local artists have donated their most prized artworks to be auctioned during this cocktail party, including Artist Aicy Karbstein, who created a painting titled "Alice in Wonder-Leonardtown", a representational painting mixed with fictitious characters from Alice in Wonderland. Artworks@7th Gallery is proud to announce that the "Featured Artist" for the month of October is Aicy Karbstein.

In this exhibit, several seascapes will be on display, among other recent paintings by the Artist, including a prize winning artwork! She paints from her heart and mind, striving to express happiness, beauty and harmony in all her paintings, using acrylics on canvas. Currently, her preferred style is Contemporary Realism, and she loves to paint water scenes, historic towns, animals and antique cars.

The Opening Reception for this show will take place on October 2nd, 2021, from 1pm to 4pm. You are invited to attend the Opening Reception and to visit the exhibit, which runs from October 1 to 31, 2021.

ArtsFest is a big Arts and Entertainment annual event, with lots of wonderful Fine Arts and Artists. People from all over the country attend this amazing and fun event.

A full day of fun at St. Clement's Island Museum with St. Mary’s County wineries on the First Landing Wine Trail, as well as local artisans, at the first annual First Landing Wine & Arts Festival. Artist Aicy Karbstein will be there showcasing her paintings and Limited-Edition Prints, as well as art greeting cards, postcards and coffee mugs, all of which will be available for purchase.

Enjoy free wine tastings of locally-grown wine from several local vineyards, browsing local crafted items and more on the scenic shores of the Potomac River.

Aicy Karbstein’s artwork was on display at Saint Mary’s County Arts Council Gallery during the Art Walk, which ran from September 4th to 30th, 2020. Artworks by several artists were displayed in many businesses around Leonardtown - a big art hub in Saint Mary’s County, Maryland.
