Replica of the Blakistone Lighthouse, located in Saint Clement’s Island, the site of the first Maryland colonists, after sailing from England. During the American Civil War, the Confederates raided the original lighthouse and destroyed its lens and lantern. Then in 1956, it was destroyed by fire. This replica lighthouse was rebuilt in 2008. A very interesting place to visit, especially if you are interested in history.
